AREAS OF APPLICATION
KRISTALL filter presses for perfect Butter
» with mechanical closure
» to remove solids and turbidities from the pressed butter, they are pumped through a special textile fabric in this machine.
After production of the butter, the butter cab be cleaned to remove solids and turbidities. This can be done by using a filter press, for example. In principle, a filter press consists of the following:
» the press frame,
» the filter plates,
» the filter cloths
» as well as the feed pump.
The number or dimensions of the filter plates, and therefore the filter area, change depending on the desired capacity. Filter cloths, consisting of a textile fabric which is permeable for liquids, are located between the filter plates. Solids are retained on this fabric during the filtering procedure. Over time, filter cakes form which leads to an increase in pressure in the filter plates and must be released by opening the filter press.
